Engine Control and Data Systems

The Engine Control and Data System provides the command, control, sensing/measurement, and logging functions of the PETS. The system resides both on the TRT and on the OCB. The components located on the TRT are housed in protective enclosures. The airtight shelters are environmentally controlled and capable of operations in extreme conditions. The system’s electrical power is protected through uninterruptible power supplies that provide at least 20 minutes of operation after a power failure. This allows sufficient time to safely halt testing and shut down each of the system components without damage to the engine.
